浙江高考英语阅读精选题(二)The evidence for harmony may not be obvious in some families. But it seems that four out of five young people now get on with their parents, which is the opposite of the popularly-held image(形象)of unhappy teenagers locked in their room after endless family quarrels.
An important new study into teenage attitudes surprisingly shows that their family life is more harmonious than it has ever been in the past."We were surprised by just how positive today's young people seem to be about their families," said one member of the research team. "They're expected to be rebellious(叛逆的)and selfish, but actually they have other things on their minds: they want a car and material goods, and they worry about whether school is serving them well. There's more negotiation(商议)and discussion between parents and children, and children expect to take part in the family decision-making process. They don't want to rock the boat."
So it seems that this generation of parents is much more likely than parents of 30 years ago to treat their children as friends."My parents are happy to discuss things with me and willing to listen to me," says 17-year-old Daniel Lazall. "I always tell them when I'm going out clug. As long as they know what I'm doing, they're fine with it." Susan Crome, who is now 21, agrees. "Looking back on the last 10 years, there was a lot of what you could call negotiation. For example, as long as I'd done all my homework, I could go out on a Saturday night. But I think my grandparents were a lot stricter with my parents than that."
Maybe this positive view of family life should not be unexpected. It is possible that the idea of teenage rebellion is not rooted in real facts. A researcher comments,"Our surprise that teenagers say they get along well with their parents comes because of a brief period in our social history when teenagers were regarded as different beings. But that idea of rebelling and breaking away from their parents really only happened during that one time in the 1960s when everyone rebelled. The normal situation throughout history has been a smooth change from helping out with the family business to taking it over."
1.What is the popular image of teenagers today?
A.They worry about school.
B.They dislike living with their parents.
C.They have to be locked in to avoid troubles.
D.They quarrel a lot with other family members.
2.The study shows that teenagers don't want to__________ .
A.share family responsibility
B.cause trouble in their families
C.go boating with their family
D.make family decisions
3.Compared with parents of 30 years ago, today's parents__________ .
A.go to clubs more often with their children
B.are much stricter with their children
C.care less about their children's life
D.give their children more freedom
4.According to the author, teenage rebellion__________ .
A.may be a false belief
B.is common nowadays
C.existed only in the 1960s
D.resulted from changes in families
5.What is the passage mainly about?
A.Negotiation in family.
B.Education in family.
C.Harmony in family.
D.Teenage trouble in family.

On a bright, warm July afternoon, Mac Hollan, a primary school teacher, was cycling from his home to Alaska with his friends. One of his friends had stopped to make a bicycle repair, but they had encouraged Mac to carry on, and they would catch up with him soon. As Mac pedaled (骑行) along alone, he thought fondly of his wife and two young daughters at home. He hoped to show them this beautiful place someday.
Then Mac heard quick and loud breathing behind him. ?Man, that's a big dog!? he thought. But when he looked to the side, he saw instantly that it wasn?t a dog at all, but a wolf, quickly catching up with him.
Mac?s heart jumped. He found out his can of hear spray. With one hand on the bars, he fired the spray at the wolf. A bright red cloud enveloped the animal, and to Mac's relief, it fell back, shaking its head. But a minute later, it was by his side again. Then it attacked the back of Mac's bike, tearing open his tent bag. He fired at the wolf a second time, and again, it fell back only to quickly restart the chase(追赶)。
Mac was pedaling hard now. He waved and yelled at passing cars but was careful not to show down. He saw a steep uphill climbbefore him. He knew that zxxk once he hit the hill, he?d be easy caught up and the wolf?s teeth would be tearing into his flesh.
At this moment, Paul and Beeky were driving their car on their way to Alaska. They didn?t think much of it when they saw two cyclists repairing their bike on the side of the road. A bit later, they spotted what they, too, assumed was a dog running alongside a man on a bike. As they got closer, they realized that the dog was a wolf. Mac heard a large vehicle behind him. He pulled in front of it as the wolf was catching up fast, just a dozen yards away now. (kaoshi.yjbys.com)

From the text…,According to…,True/not true,划线词语、句子,简单计算、排列事件顺序、识图等。
有的是通过加上相应的词语限制,如涉及到数量时常用many,almost all,nearly,more than,over,only a few,normally等限制。
What' s the topic/subject of the text/the second paragraph?
What is stated in…? The text is cheifly concerned with_______。
The story suggests that___________. It can be inferred that_____________.
The story implies that _____________. It can be concluded that __________.
We can learn that _______________.
①利用构词法猜词;
同时特别留心某些词语,例如:or, that is, in other words, including, although, but, or, even if, on the other hand, on the contrary, other than, rather than, more than, instead of等词语之后的内容。

44 B 细节理解题 文章第四自然段中it could increase credit card security and allow people to sign up the contract 可推出B项。

Dear Diana,
Thank you for the lovely day we have with you. It was so kind tor you to let us bring Anne's
friend. Gina. Unfortunate, the only problem was the journey home. There had been a terrible
accident on the highway and, for a result, there was a long line of traffic for at least six mile. In
the end, we drove to a service station and waited there unless the road was clear. In the car park
Gina nearly got knocked over as a car drove out far too quickly from behind a lorry. They
finally dropped Gina off at her parents' and made our own way to home.
2. 第2句 for→of解析It’s kind of you为固定用法。
4. 第4句 for→as解析as a result固定搭配。
10. 第7句去掉to解析make one’s way home中home为副词,所以前面不用介词to。

Dear Editor,
As a student reader, I am writing to talk about the English textbooks published by your house. These books have many advantages. One of them is that we can find a variety of topics, such as science, culture and history. These topics, 1 think, arc very popular with us students. What's more, along with the texts there are many beautiful and colorful pictures, which can help us understand English better. Even the students who used to dislike English have turned out to be interested in the subject. However, some of the texts have too many new words and expressions which are hard for us. Therefore, I'd like to suggest changing them into easier ones.
Best regards,
Li Hua

句型为“It was +一段时间+ before …”
其一是主谓一致:根据quantity的用法,quantities of +复数名词, a quantity of +单数名词,故排除 A、B项;其二考查了语态,土壤是被冲走的,故选择D。
Why not?
考生很容易误选A或C , 误理解为be used to doing 或be used to do。而此题中be used to的宾语为 the country life, he was used to为定语从句,修饰the country life。 因主语为the country life ,因此谓语动词 应选用has changed。

故选any

Dear Sir or Madam,
I’m a student from Xinhua Middle School. I’m glad to learn that you want a few part-time English reporters. I’m quite interested in it.
I think I’m fit for the job. As a student, I’ve read a lot and have much knowledge in many fields. I’m fond of English and do well in both speaking and writing. Besides, I’m easy to get along with and enjoy working together with others. Above all, I once worked as a reporter for my school broadcasting station. So I’m sure I can do the job well if I get the position.
I’m looking forward to your reply.
Yours faithfully,
Li Hua
